We agree, the wedge makes it fast and simple. No need to pull out 3 levels and spend 45 mins to an hour to install a scope when all can be done in 10 minutes.
One thing to top it off is to use the Spuhr Fix-It-Sticks Kit that comes with a 25 in/lb and a 45 in/lb torque limiters. We love using this compact kit.
Which is amazing by the way.
I emailed them yesterday evening, and when I woke up at ten to four this mourning I had a reply asking for the batch number of the broken clamp. I provided the number as well as my credit card, and within minutes I had a reply saying one was coming free of charge.
