First picture shows our first scope mounts from 2009 where we had a different interface, we used a 4mm slot that was rather short. We later abandoned that solution as it’s not sufficiently accurate for laser and laser rangefinders.
The problem is that the surface treatment destroys tolerances so the fitting cannot be as tight as it should be. Our solution today and that we been making since 2010 is two conical interfaces with 10degree conicity. There the parts are pressed together with a pressfit and the cannot move.
And if we not could get it to work then it’s highly unlikely that anyone else get it to work today. Now the interface fit is only important for lasers and secondary sights, for other things like bubbel levels, note boards, lights and whatever it’s fine.
