Well, you could get a picatinny rail and bolt it to something big heavy and stationary, then attach you scope to it, look through at a distant object to find where the cross hairs center and then adjust the zoom. Should be able to see if things move shift if the rail is steady enough.

try shooting a square; aim at the bull, fire a shot, adjust the scope up 12 clicks shoot again aiming at the bull, adjust over 12 clicks, shoot again adjust down 12 clicks shoot and then back 12 clicks and shoot, since your worried about magnification do this twice once on a lower power once on a higher power

Tried to bolt scope to a bench, wood flex quite a bit. can't find a solid base.

Just checked all the screws. All meet the torque spec given by manufacturers.
Very muddy outside, don't think the ground will froze anytime soon.

    The parallax was adjusted.
The objective lens diameter is 44mm. Even if the parallax was set at 70 yards, the max parallax error at 140 yards is 44mm, which is 1.7"

If you are still having issues, please send the optic to us. We'll give it a once over to see if anything is out of spec.
