Covid-19 Response from Select Shooting Supplies

These are times during which we are in uncharted territory and are seeing unprecedented societal reactions to a health crisis that has gripped the world and caused measures to be put in place by our federal and provincial governments like we have never experienced.

The safety of our customers is a top priority for us. Taking the proper precautions as a retailer that interacts with the public and passes objects from our hands to yours is of great importance to ensure the health of our customers and our staff. We have had certain precautions in place since the beginning of this crisis and have required our staff to disinfect after each customer interaction. Now, due to the reaction of other retailers across Canada in all industries, we have to go a few steps further.

We will be limiting entrance to our retail location at 116 Argyle Street North in Cambridge and the door will be locked for the first time since we opened. We will be limiting the number of customers in store and restricting the handling of products between staff and customers during our regular business hours until March 31st, when we will reassess the situation at our new location at 200 Preston Parkway in Cambridge. This is the timeline that Premier Ford has given to all restaurants and bars in Ontario and we believe it prudent to take similar measures, but keep our customers stocked if they choose to head to the range and enjoy The Canadian Shooting Sports to take their mind off of the hourly deluge of stories related to Covid-19.

Online ordering is strongly encouraged by visiting www.selectshootingsupplies.com, placing your order and selecting in-store pickup. Ammunition sales can be processed over the phone by calling (519) 219-4867 since we don't ship ammunition and it can't be ordered online. We will meet you at the door with a smile during our regular business hours, check your PAL if necessary for the item you have ordered, wave goodbye and wish you a good day - and then we'll wash our hands.

For a small business of three staff at present time that is in the process of expanding, current events have put us in a difficult position. We can't do nothing and we can't shut down completely, but we can upset our normal and maintain a presence while continuing to serve you - one person at a time.

    Place an online order.

Place an order over the phone.

Buy a Gift Card for use at a later date.

We can all get through this and keep the Canadian Firearm Industry healthy as well as each other during this time. Be good to one-another, check on your elderly neighbours to see if they need anything and stay safe out there.

    We are open today.

We're taking precautions at the advice of healthcare professionals. Yes, it's upsetting our normal, however, we will continue to monitor what is going on nationally, provincially and locally and adjust again if necessary.

We're an operation of three people, so we are adhering to the advice given of continuing to keep our hands clean and limiting the number of customers in the store since we are not a large operation.

Certain products will also be limited regarding being handed between our staff and customers at this time.

Apologies for any inconvenience! We're trying to make the best of these times. Make certain your elderly neighbours and family members are well. Help out where you can. Stay safe out there.
