If my range allowed for 5.7 I'd be all over this. But sadly I'll have to live vicariously through you

Welcome to the 5.7 club! That pistol is on my list, I currently have a FN Five-Seven and a PS90 and i'm warning that calibre is addictive. Hopefully with Ruger bringing this pistol to the market it helps bring a steady supply of ammo. It can be tough to find at times, so stock up. Lets us know how it shoots with the RMR that's the reason I'm looking at getting one.
Well, it took a while, but my Vortex plate arrived from IRG!
For anyone looking to put a red dot on their Ruger 57, be warned- the screws that come with the Vortex Viper are too long. According to US forums this is a common issue. Ruger made the plate for 6-48 threaded screws, but a different length then what comes in the Vortex box. Why they would do that for a Vortex specific plate? Who knows.
I ended up slowly grinding away material from the screws with a dremel, and finally got it all tight! Can’t wait to test it!

That looks really good with the vortex. The 57's look so much nicer in person than in pictures. Has your trigger smoothed out at all? I only put 1 mag through my buddy's 57
Looks great Paul, thanks for sharing!
Hows the brass chasing going? Is that a pain at all?
I hate chasing brass!......
The only government I trust is 45-70 Government!
The trigger is not the best, but I don’t mind.
As for brass, I chose not to reload this calibre, the casings have a coating that means no SS tumbling, and apparently it’s easier to cause overcharged loads, from what I’ve read. I have collected what I could though to possibly sell to those who do reload.
Hoping to get it to the range today to try the red dot.
