Yes, I'd be asking them if they don't sell to people who don't drive.

If you are a business , you are required by law to keep these business records for a set time period.
It is a requirement of any business!

Rangeview sports made me upload them a picture of my drivers license and firearms license to them, never had to do that before. Usually it’s giving a store my license number and such and away I go. Kind of odd, but.

If the store keeps a ledger on their own accord what's to stop them from showing g it to rcmp or cfo on their own accord. It's their information. Same as fb or anyone else who sells info recorded about people

I buy firearms from a local hunting store and they always have asked to see my drivers licence or another price of ID. Just to verify it’s you in the pal. Never seen them write down any other info other then what is on my pal. They keep a store record of who they sell to. They never made me sign anything, that’s a little weird.

Why do they require a picture of our drivers licence and PAL?

Just follow their instructions and move on! Rather a retail store collect too much information than not enough. Particularly when it relates to the purchase of firearms.

100% disagree. The more information that’s collected the greater the risk if it gets compromised. If it doesn’t need to be collected, it shouldn’t be.

Ontario has an identity card. Looks just like a drivers license with all the same info on it, accepted by all places

    Seriously!?
