Why did they cut back the handguard? Is this for weight or was the old handguard touching the gas block etc partially the cause of the poor accuracy of the original mx10?

Does this come in 7.62 NATO?
Why would anyone buy this "DMR" in 7.62 Soviet vs tons of other 7.62 NATO such as 102 or Stag 10? Price is not really competitive. Also 7.62 NATO is more accurate.
