Does this come in 7.62 NATO?

Why would anyone buy this "DMR" in 7.62 Soviet vs tons of other 7.62 NATO such as 102 or Stag 10? Price is not really competitive. Also 7.62 NATO is more accurate.

It's only really called a dmr because of the barrel length

Why did they cut back the handguard?

It looks more like an AK with the exposed gas block.

I took a chance on one off the ee and have been super impressed with it. Really fun gun to shoot, and has been very reliable thus far. Definitely a 'truck gun' contender.

Also curious why the v2 has a cut back handguard?

Love the looks of these but they need a pic rail or something on the gas block so you can mount some iron sights up there. Right now the sight radius would be way too short.
