Save the .22 Lee Enfield No. 8s

    Hey Wolverine 303,

Saw this video on YouTube. Apparently the MOD in the UK are liquidating Lee Enfield cadet rifles. If a buyer isn’t found, they’re going to the shredder. IMHO these would sell in Canada... I’d buy one. Any way you could bring these to Canada? https://youtu.be/Yd5aegj-6qo

TERMS OF SALE - “Shipping” means tracked with a signature and $100 coverage, additional insurance is responsibility of the buyer. My liability ends when an item is accepted by Canada Post.

The video link shares a freedom of information request that was put in about these in the UK. The short and long of it is that the UK Ministry of Defence does not sell surplus small arms to the commercial sector, only to other governments. So unless you can convince the Canadian government to buy them, it seems unlikely. The US, however might be another story if you could get them in through CMP.

He says in the video and its written right there in the letter that the Ministry of Defense does not sell surplus firearms in the commercial marketplace.
