I've not yet handled one but I've seen nothing but positive reviews online in regards to recoil and the overall ergonomics

The recoil is lighter than 9mm out of a striker fire.

Recoil is completely manageable, closer to 22 than 9mm. Got one of these to train the kids on pistol. No problem for them to rack slide unassisted and put rounds on target consistently at 10m.

    Wish the ammo was cheaper!
