    Maybe someone can design a bolt action rifle that utilizes as many AR parts as possible (barrel with the gas port covered, buffer tube, stocks, mags, forend, etc. etc.).

    good. If worse comes to worse and I’m cornered into it, the only thing turned in would be the stripped upper and lower. Would like to put my other expensive parts to use. The “compensation” numbers they tossed around last time look completely inadequate for a mid to high end AR or custom components.

    Called a ruger precision rifle, they had one in 223. But discontinued it.
