The Amnesty Order permits the use of any of the newly prohibited firearms, if previously non-restricted, to hunt for the purposes of sustenance or to exercise a right recognized and affirmed by section 35 of the Constitution. From fall 2018 to spring 2019, the Government held extensive engagement with Indigenous groups, provinces and territories, municipalities, law enforcement agencies, academics, victim groups and other key stakeholders on limiting access to assault-style firearms and handguns. Recognizing that some Indigenous and sustenance hunters could be using previously non-restricted firearms for their hunting and may be unable to replace these firearms immediately, the Amnesty Order includes provisions for the limited use of these firearms for such purposes. Following the publication of the Regulations, the Government will continue to engage with Indigenous groups to assess whether the prohibition of these firearms has a continued impact on the right to hunt affirmed by section 35 of the Constitution."

Exempt in perpetuity. Notice it's a "right".
Hunting is a right for natives, not gun ownership.

    Question for IRG.
Can you guys export firearms on oic list to US citizens as receivers?
You were talking about possible export and storage at some point. Is this still a viable option?

What has happened is the loss of the middle ground, the Great Canadian compromise, the gun classification system and PAL system,[/B] (gun owners get to have guns with reasonable rules and limitations and anti-gun owners know there are reasonable rules and limitations so no one group got everything they wanted in totality) and now we have a take it or leave it offer from the PM, through the undemocratic OIC process, with future bans of hand guns and most likely centralized government run gun storage.
So, take it or leave it, no middle ground or compromise on legal gun ownership and legal gun use , OK so play nice, play by Trudeau and Bill Blairs rules and you will lose your property or lose the right to enjoy your property.
The only question to ask is what are you prepared to do about it, how far are you personally willing to go to defend your rights and your right to enjoy your property? because you either have your property and get to enjoy the sport of shooting or hunting or you do not.
That is all that there is left to decide, nothing else.
Remember when the middle ground goes away people are forced to make decisions that they would never make otherwise.

We have to unite. There is no way out. We need every hunter, shooter, etc from every walk of life and ethnicity. We cannot loose this one. First Nation people can teach us a lot about standing up for ourselves. Do you remember earlier this year how they brought the economy on its knee. I would rather have them on my side than against. No time for division, that's what the Liberals want.
