This has to be a joke. The bore of a 12ga is around than 18.5-19mm. A choke wouldn’t make the bore wider. It would make it narrower. Or am I missing something?

Well I totally missed this on my first read through of the new regulations.
It does say ANY firearm, without a choke tube in a 12 gauge will certainly measure greater than 20mm.
I suppose the Liberals will rush right out to clarify this for us...

Just as a Compensator/flash hider won't count towards barrel length, I doubt a choke would count towards barrel diameter given it's not permanently fixed.

I imagine this is an oversight given that no one making the rules likely hunts and probably just did a quick search on bore diameters and saw a 10 or 12 gauge should fall just under 20mm.
