I tried the link and it came up as one in stock. The 308 sold out quickly.

In my experience blanks will not typically cycle a semi automatic action as they do not generate enough pressure. This is overcome by using a Blank Firing Adaptor (aka BFA). These are weapon specific and are designed to partially close off the bore (normally at the muzzle) to allow the pressure generated to force the system to cycle.

Thank you for clarifying... I suspected this was the case.

Keep in mind this is from a military firearms perspective. It's possible some pistols might function but I doubt they would function reliably without some modification. My exposure to 'movie guns' and replicas echoes the sentiment - they are modified so they will cycle with blank ammo and are most often designed so they cannot use live ammo. Many are chamberd for the oddball 8mm blanks that are hard to get.

So when you take some one new to the range keep feeding them mags of blanks. Then you shoot and hit the gong/target , then send them up with blanks again. Make them feel silly, laugh, enjoy the rest of the day
