Hey guys does this thing do well with surplus? Thinking about getting one of these or a ruger in the same caliber but pretty well only shoot steel surplus ammo.

Mine shoots surplus ammo,very accurate,the only issue is the hard primers,a lot need two firing pin strikes to fire,the Chinese are not too bad,the Czech are the worst.
So could use a heavier main spring.

I bought some 3d printed 22-250 6 round mags that work pretty good from a fella on the inner nets

I’m having a hard time taking the brake off though. Did you have to heat it to get it off? Maybe I need a better barrel vice. I tried a couple of 2x4’s in my vice. Any recommendations on a barrel vice?
