Do we know if these functions with Volq bolts ?

Not willing to repeat the same mistake as my current Kidd bolt...
Prices including shipping DOES NOT include full insurance. Once package is in carrier's hands, it is not my responsibility anymore.

Just got the aluminum adapter directly from SBI as well as a clear plastic ProMag 597 mag for my Ruger 10/22 carbine.

Guess what? Bolt won't close. I also purchased a second identical ProMag 597 mag from "The Big C-word" and am experiencing the same issue - looks like the feed lips are ever so slightly too high.

So my question: can the bolt catching issue be dealt with by simply removing a tiny bit off the top of the feed lips with sandpaper? Or am I going to completely wreck the mag?

    Try this first:

    1) Insert the empty mag.
    2) Drop the bolt.
    3) Keep dropping the bolt until it closes and moves free.

That will wear a tiny bit of material off the mag.

    Just a FYI to everyone.

I just purchased the 10/22 to 597 magazine adapter for my old 199x Ruger 10/22 Target from a LGS in Newmarket and three 597 Promag magazine. Does not work. As others have mentioned my factory bolt will not close. Gets stopped by the mag lip.

Unless the LGS will issue a refund I just wasted a lot of money.

Good Luck everyone who gets one.

I got one of these recently too and initially had the same issue. Just push your bolt forward to close it on the mag and rack it back and forth a few times. This is wear down the slightest bit of plastic on the mag. I took mine to the range and fed a full mag of 25 rounds through it without any issues! I was very impressed with the performance.

We've had a lot of question about when these will be back in stock. We shipped our latest run of adapters entirely to dealers. Our next run is already in production.

If you're looking for an adapter contact any of the following places to order:
    • Caroline Supplies
    • Calgary Shooting Center
    • Reliable Gun
    • Siwash Sports
