I am sincerely stoked that the CGC have decided to wade into this legal battle. Their perception of all things firearms related is extremely narrow, does not reflect reality, and is not backed up by facts but is instead grounded in deep rooted emotion from the Polytechnique shooting 31 years ago. There is no doubt they will hurt their case more than help it.

“An intervener is a person or organization who does not have a direct interest in a particular court or tribunal proceeding, but is granted intervener status on a discretionary basis because their involvement would be helpful to the determination of the issues. The intervener’s participation rights are determined by the Tribunal member and are generally more limited than those of a party. For example, intervention is widely used by specialized organizations and advocacy groups to present submissions before courts and tribunals on issues of public interest within their expertise.”
The CGC is going to pass themselves off as experts on gun control. Not necessarily on the specific firearms being affected by the OIC.
And it’s interesting that they chose the Wolverine case, which IIRC is where Mr. Wolverine is claiming damages because Poly positioned his logo beside some 30-round mags.

Basically the CGC delays court proceedings so the Libs unveil another gun ban and screw up our court challenges
