If you have a rifle that you used for hunting that is now prohibited I need to hear from you. It is of no concern if you do or not qualify for sustenance hunting.

On second thoughts I would like to hear from you if you can use a prohibited rifle for sustenance hunting, that sets a double standard and is also contradictory to the Government claim that these are not suitable for hunting.

    please elaborate?

what license must sustenance hunting be listed on?
Sustinance hunting is to "hunt for food", which is only allowed in Canada with a valid Hunting License and tags.
Subsistance hunting is to "hunt for food to survive". In this case a Hunting License may not be required.
The OIC refers to Sustinance Hunting not Subsistance

any Canadian with a valid hunting license is a Sustinance Hunter because you are hunting for food for your table. You do not need to be Indigenous to qualify as a Sustinance Hunter.

Rick I'm unclear on the request but if you want an email for an Indigenous Sustinance Hunter who has been using Now Banned semiauto rifles for hunting, let me know and I'll write up an articulate response.
