Any clue as to why these have been discontinued? Any hint at a replacement model?

Deer are scared Shi*less of this rifle, I haven't seen one since I started carrying my cz527.
I can't understand why they would discontinue what is really my favourite model. I guess if we had access to all sales figures maybe they don't sell enough in large markets. 5 rounds, detachable magazine and compact size. I would like a wooden model with the same fibre optic sights as are on the synthetic models. My walnut stocked 527 has a black blade iron sight only.

Pretty sure them make them in batches, they were scarce when I first started looking for one a few years back too.
