These are going to be made out of PE to keep weight and price down as well as increase the lifetime of the armor. And yes these are being built in house.

They could. Theoretically it makes sense but each icw plate is meant to work with one specific type of soft armor usually manufactured by the same company. But conceptually they should still work.Originally Posted by rommelrommel
What really sells us on PE over aramid is the fact that it doesn’t degrade over time and in adverse conditions the same way aramid does. Along with being a little lighter.
