I had an Erma made one back in the day. Tonnes of fun. Until the slide cracked in half. I was using Quick Shok high velocity .22LR
Use standard .22LR and it’ll probably be fine? Different guns of course. But if this is aluminum as well, probably same chance of breakage?

Postwar P38's/P1's had aluminum frames, so do the vast majority of Beretta 92's that later evolved from the P38/P1.
If it's a 6XXX or 7XXX series aluminum, I wouldn't be concerned about the longevity of this plinker.
If you're going through hell, keep going.
I wont be billet, or forged aluminum, it will be a pot metal so the spectrum of potential quality is pretty vast
And the post war P38/P1 with aluminum frames had problems with cracking too. So much so they had to introduce the reinforced cross frame hex bolt...
Also, just realized this model is pretty much identical to what I used to own, except mine was marked just Erma, and this one is designed by Erma but made in the US?
I talked to other people who owned this type of pistol at the time I broke mine and they said it will be fine if you use regular or lower power .22LR in it. I just made the mistake of using high velocity food.
Really thinking of buying another one of these pistols. It was super fun and accurate! Looked great beside my matching byf43 P38 too, and much cheaper to shoot. Though sadly with the short barrel, still very loud to shoot even in .22LR.

Are these made from left over parts from the previous manufacturer, or is it totally new ?
