Does the spring assist use an AR buffer spring (or the buffer tube in general), or is it internal to the receiver?
If the assist spring doesn't involve the buffer tube you can use one of the MDT folding stock adapters.

Why wouldn't it be the same as using the AIA mags in an m14?

Most interesting and novel approach... looking forward to seeing this happen for MRA!

Would it be possible to add the bolt catch or some way of holding the action open. I think cleaning could be a pita if you have to disassemble the rifle otherwise. But still ordered one anyway. Thanks for the option.
You don't want anything sticking out the side of the rifle.Would it be possible to add the bolt catch or some way of holding the action open.
You want the side of the rifle completely smooth for racking the bolt with your hand.
