    Here a pic at 50 yards with MRA’s 14.5 7.62x39 Attachment 422150
I have the same barrel, what kind of ammo was used, and how big is this square?

We are aware and we are making new, thicker covers. These covers are hardened correctly and seem to work for most people but we have had this one and one other crack.

In the meantime, you could use a regular gas block turned backwards.

MRA has been great and is taking care of it.

Yes it is. Seems to only affect some customers. Might be due to hotter ammo and/or shorter gas system meaning more pressure.

We are making thicker sleeves right now without the skeletonized sides. We will replace any broken sleeves with the more robust ones under our lifetime warranty.

Also, you can use a regular gas block turned around backwards to block off the gas port. We just thought we would included the sleeve rather than require customers to install a third party part incorrectly.

Scope and mounting location might change once she hits the range, but I am pleased thus far with how it functions.

What was your solution for your front site gas port? Did you install your gas tube upside down? Cut it off?

I cut it to about 1.5"/2"and installed it upside down. Followed that up by promptly ordering a shiny new replacement for when the OIC mess is overturned.
