    Quick follow up:

If it is classified as a semi or an AR variant, what do you plan to do (e.g. refunds, ship anyway?)
Or better yet... build and ship these things without getting a stupid FRT number.

This. The FRT is for imports. Nothing requires domestically made firearms to get them.

Sure, though I'd rather have an FRT instead of having this labelled as a prohib when the RCMP decide to get off their asses. Additionally, they have said FRT is pending so they have already submitted so that argument is kinda moot.

Edit: to be clear, I've already placed my preorder.

At reason why this couldn't use 20 or 30 round magazines?

It uses AR mags, limited to 5 rounds or 10 rounds for AR pistols.

    To answer your questions:

The spring assist does not make it semi-auto. There is no gas system and it cannot be modified to accept a gas system. Plus the bolt carrier is proprietary so you cannot use an direct impingement, gas piston, or direct blow back carrier in our receiver.

We designed this firearm from scratch to be a straight pull, bolt action repeating rifle that uses commonly available parts. The AR15 is defined as being a semi-automatic, gas operated, magazine fed rifle. We did not modify an AR15 and this is not a variant of the AR15. Also, the upper and lower receivers are all incompatible with one another. Modifying the upper or lower of any system will result in the complete firearm being inoperable.

Yes we will fight any classification other than non-restricted and we have ample evidence to support our claim.

If it is classed an AR variant, we will appeal the decision. We will ship all orders that have been placed since the orders were completed before we are legally compelled to cease sales.

Can we forego the spring assist and install a folding mechanism (e.g. KNS adapter for 1913 interface) to utilize SIG folding stocks? Obviously this will need to be paired with a longer barrel like 16" and a long muzzle device to get it 26" OAL.
I don't want to use a LAW Tactical adapter as those are very expensive.
