The reciever set looks nicely made, but quite slow and clunky to operate compared to a pump action, especially when the charging handle is on the left for a right handed shooter.

Then buy yourself a Troy PAR and move on. The charging handle can be put on either side.

Having owned a PAR, I don’t believe it is a quicker less clunky option. You still need to rack the slide and reacquire your target. Haven’t tried a straight pull yet, but I’m thinking right side charging handle for a right handed shooter might be the qucikest, smoothest option.

And it’s probably just me, but something about the pump action on a rifle just doesn’t feel right...

Having to take the castle nut and buffer tube off to get the bolt out to clean it seems like a nightmare tbh

Yeah, not super convenient but at the same time, there isnt gas being cycled back, so there wont be need to clean it like you would an AR.

    Righty tighty - lefty loosey
    “Nightmare”?
As others have stated. It will run cleaner and disassembly will not be that often.

I am chomping at the bit to get my build done.
    Thank you Maple Ridge Armoury

Did the design get RCMP approval? You know if it looks like an AR it’s only for bad peoplekind.
