Parliament is closed until September.. so what is this petition going to do?

This is like going to buy a sale item a month after the sale is over.

No. We don't need parliament. We need an election. And we need to be able to vote to leave each seat vacant. And vacant seats need to be taken as a vote in opposition to whatever motion is being debated in the house. And we need a majority of vacancy, so people can simply be left the hell alone.
