FYI....Bushnell Elite series are made in Japan.

And I do agree, the Leupolds work perfectly when space is a concern.

Okay....likely the case. So does almost everyone else.
Not sure what that has to do with my comment about the Elite series. (Sorry to derail this further KGL)

Maybe because the price range of the freedom line is half that of a Japanese made bushnell. If I wanted to pay the same price as a leupold freedom i'd be getting non Japanese scope if purchased from bushnell. The only scopes currently made in Japan by them are their elite tactical series.

Like they aren't even in the same ballpark.

Bushnell Elite 3500 series is in the same price range as the Leupold Freedom line and is made in Japan.

Ya I suppose I could get an older elite 3500. But bushnell has discontinued the entire elite line and only now makes the elite tactical series.

Did not know that.....good to know, thanks for sharing!
I bought a couple of the Leupold Freedoms to try out and they are great. Looking forward to them coming back online with more stock.

I guess Leupold changed there mind about the VX Freedom rimfire scopes, since when I posted this article originally they where listed as no longer available on there web site.
