    I have a customer who owns a fine old English double in 8 gauge. It is now prohibited by the same OIC. It is evaluated at $35K, I wonder how a "buy-back" for something like that will work.

    Yes, we just imported one for a gentleman earlier this year, he paid 25K US$....
    Of course the cost of the compensation will be nothing compared to the cost to set up and staff 100's of collection and demolition centers! Imagine the cost to collect even a single firearm from, say, Pond inlet.
