This is so outrageous. I couldn't even begin to guess how much I'd be losing my mind to have a piece of property that expensive prohibited.

Just to point out, If you shoot the 460 Weatherby with a 450 gr (29 g) Truncated solid @ 2,660 ft/s, 7,072 ft/lbs which is 9491J then what?
The OIC is written in a way to indicate if the rifle is "capable" of firing rounds with 10,000j of energy, then it's prohibited. Not whether it can or can't shoot below it, but whether it is possible to fire. Leaves a lot more cartridges than this open to interpretation.

Basically, anything 300 WM or over is capable of 10K J. It might only fire it once but it could reach it. Just check out the J of a proof load of some of the lager chamberings...

Well hopefully this guy can use it as a 400k capital loss. Cause there is no way this present fascist dictator is going to buy back anything at market value. Read about any poor sob who has gone through this kind of witch hunt. As an individual, be prepared to lose thousands if this clown government is allowed to proceed with their illegal confiscation. And I'll bet they'll crack down real hard on few to keep the minions in line. And remember: Thank a liberal! Cause this is just the beginning.
The key to accuracy is to shoot first & call whatever you hit the target...

If you are not part of the solution, there's good money to be made by prolonging the problem...

If you consider proof rounds, it would be over 10k Joules.

And in Canadian law, a firearm isn't a working gun, it's the receiver. So who's to say what a receiver is capable of?

Not in the FRT it is not. However, point is the way the OIC is written, the RCMP lab could determine most of the rounds 300 WM or so and 'up' are capable of 10K J or more.
