    I dont have a 3d printer but I've been interested in getting one for a while. I know very little about them. Is there one that you would recommend?

    Light Practical Carbine Upper Receiver Vise Block Set

    This is a vise block set for the Light Practical Carbine upper receiver. This vise block set is required to install a barrel and stock.
    Since the Light Practical Carbine is truly a novel firearm vise blocks for other guns are completely incompatible. We have designed a simple, easy to make vise block.
    The Light Practical Carbine vise block is a 3d printed part that you can make yourself for free or buy from us. It is a single file that you need to print twice. It is released under the under the Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial - No Derivatives license. This means you can make your own for free, but you may not sell it, or redistribute derivatives of it.

    Thanks again for the stl file SBI, that is awesome of you to release.

    FYI I got some PETG and printed on my Mega-S using:

    0.4 nozzle
    0.2 layer height
    Brim adhesion
    60 Infill, Grid
    240 nozzle temp
    70 bed temp (I use white glue on my bed)
    25 print speed
    Fan cooling on at 50

    The PETG is nice stuff to work with, thanks also for info on it.

    I think I could crush this down pretty hard in a vice before it started to break.

    I printed mine at 0.8mm nozzle at 0.6mm layer height and 30% infill. Only took 2 hours per side to print and it worked well. It did start creaking at 30 ft-lb on hte barrel nut. I think at 50% infill or higher it would be good. the 0.8 nozzle makes a very strong bond.
