If buying a used ACR, try to ensure that it was manufactured at the Ilion, New York Remington/Bushmaster Firearms Inc (BFI) factory. These rifles, which pre-date the "DMR" configuration are good to go. The rifles produced after the factory moved to Madison, North Carolina are the ones to avoid with QC issues. Unfortunately this includes all of the DMR rifles, which may or may not exhibit QC problems....

I don't want a huge 40" long rifle that weighs 10+ lbs just to shoot a small 55gr .223 round. I'd rather spend that money on a proper DMR or spend a little more and get the APC308.
The SBR is what I want, registration be damned.
