    The Fix by Q

A few of these have already headed out to dealers.

Talk to your favorite dealer to get one for yourself!!

The Fix by Q is the biggest step forward in bolt-action rifle innovation since 1962, and is the foundation of what our company believes in – science and innovation.

We identified a gap in the market, set goals to successfully reinvent the traditional design, and developed a product far superior to the industry’s conventional bolt gun. This isn’t just another custom 700 pretending to be something new. This is something new, and it will kick your dad’s rifle’s ass.

NOTE: Using cartridges made specifically for semi-auto rifles may cause lite primer strikes due to their hard primers.

Gravel, can you clarify whether these will be restricted or NR? According to the OAL measurment provided for the rifle in the folded position these will just barely be restricted.

Mind telling us how the greater OAL was achieved? Folding stock spacer? Longer muzzle device?

Can anyone tell me the value in this, over something like the Christensen MPR or evening some of the cheaper ones like the sig cross?
You could literally buy a cross and a Christensen modern precision rifle in carbon for the price of this rifle...

    as per https://nfa.ca/2005/02/25/barrel-and-firearms-lengths/

If the firearm ARRIVES at the “less than 26″/660mm in overall length” condition by “sawing, cutting” etc., then it is forced into the “prohibited firearm” class. If it left the factory at that too-short length, the limit does NOT apply. It is non-restricted, UNLESS it is semi-automatic AND centrefire.
however, in the actual text of the law:
    https://parl.ca/Content/Bills/351/Go...8_4/c-68_4.pdf

which means that "cutting and sawing" is only applied to make it a Prohib.

    While

Which is exactly what the folding stock does. Does it not?

This is clearly restricted firearm by definition. How does it not? The text of the law just defines it. Its either less 600mm folded or not. There are no INCHES in the law, there are 660mm. It is either less than 25.98425 inch folded and restricted by def. Or it is over 25.98425 inches folded.
