Chapter 11 means they are filing for protection against creditors and looking to restructure their debts.

Basically they will negotiate their way out somehow and someone is going to take a haircut. Companies like Remington is probably worth way more as a company making products than just the logo itself separated from the fire sale of the machines sitting in the factory.

He has had inside visibility on how gun companies should work, but how the grand old ladies of the trade seem to lose their way. You're very generous when you call what remington uses to make gun "plastic". It's more like bubblegum and sawdust.

FYI The Navajo First Nations has applied to the courts to acquire Remington. The last time Remington went into bankruptcy the Navajo also applied to the courts to take it over. Yes they know about the Obama approved lawsuit (which violates several prior legal rulings) there is a speculative possibility the lawsuits wont go through if Trump is reelected and takes the House and Senate. The Guns and Gadgets 2A youtube channel has covered these events.

Guys sandy hook was one of a gazillion law suits against them. How about all the class action suits for the dozens of dead people from their faulty trigger ? That they covered up for over 30 years and let it continue? I am not sad to see them go if I am being honest. And I have seen with my own eyes a Remington go off without the trigger being touched.

I bought a Bushmaster ACR and the QC was terrible. Scratches and scuffs all over what was supposed to be a brand new rifle.
The bolt carrier group looked like it had seen 5000 rounds.

Luckily I managed to return it and bought a Swiss APC 223 instead, spotless.

I still hope Remington sells the ACR rights to another company, I’ll happily give it another chance.

I bought my Rem 870 tac 14 and was flawless no scratches etc functioning fine so far, but I heard a stories about rust issues after rain drops LOL.....its a nice traveling companion though, future will show. Like Mossberg too but this one is nicer hope is tougher too.

If they survive maybe, after trigger guards, they'll make the receiver plastic too..... to recovers losses.

Won't be popular here but i avoid american brand. They are crap now.

100% agree. Rustingtons, cheap parts, polished chamber yourself. Cheap cheap cheap for something that could be arguably the best next to the model 12 or 500.

Its a shame they treat customers like dirt ( in my experience)

They wouldnt even let me pay the difference for a non mimd extractor after my original mimd failed.
