Anyone have a line on Valmet .223 Mags in Canada?

Looking for some Valmet .223 Mags for a M71s. Recently a local friend and customer came into one however it didn't come with a magazine. The magazines for these are pretty rare we have yet been able to find one for sale here in Canada.

I used to sell them when they came to Canada.
They never did bring in extra magazines for any of the valmet rifles.
You had to order them , most time's , you didn't get them
I think people looked at the 223 Norinco ak47 type magazines to re engineer them.

A little googling shows that people had successfully modified AK mags to work in Valmet.

Had a M78 hunter in 30-06 awhile back and ordered a spare mag from Stoeger Canada as they where the original importers
of these rifles. Although Stoeger was five minutes from me back then I had to have Williams Arms order it from them and waited a month or two for it to come from Finland and costly. —Dieseldog!

you can modify AK 74 mags to work. Supposedly they don't feed a whole mag properly, but I guess we'll never have that problem up here, will we?

AK-74 mags can be modified to work really well.

I have a 5/30 Polytech .223 AK mag that has the top/back edge of the mag ground just enough to rock into the Valmet magwell. Worked great in the the long sold M78. I cannot see any reason why it wouldn't still work in a Poly. Can sell if you need it.

    I have a 6 5/30s 3 5/10s and 20 modified galil mags that work just fine.

Best bet would be getting some Tapco Galil mags as theyre easier to tweak and only 18CAD a pop from CHADTech
You can get the milsurp to work too but takes alittle more time, although I find in the stamped rifles the Metal Galil mags can be alittle sticky on swap
