We recently got in a folding ballistic shield, and we wanted to see if you guys where interested in them. The shield is rated to 3a and the dimensions are 30.5”x31.25”. The shield itself weighs around 2kg and can be folded in half for transport. The price for each shield is 1399.99. Let us know what you guys think and if you’re interested we will open them up for preorder.
Actually more interested in polycarbonate riot shields as a de-escalation tool.

It looks very similar to the Baker Ballistics Batshield. My agency has a bunch of them for patrol use.

Wouldn’t you want a Level IV for a shield?
Perhaps, but then it would be 10kg, not 2kg. If it was still lightweight'ish, it would be $5k instead of $1400.
Remember the old saying Cheap, Good or Fast? pick two? With armour it is Light, Cheap or Protective, pick two.
The Tyr Tactical shield seems much more practical design. Polycarbonate riot shields would also be interesting.
