    modern hunter receiver thread diameter ?!

    Hi everyone , for some reason barrel nut Midwest industries barrel nut hand guard is not compatible with my modern hunter , doesn't fit , looks like different thread , does anyone know what is the thread diameter of Modern Hunter ? should't be the same as AR10 ?
    concealed carry will save lives.

    There isn't one standard for the AR10 like there is with the AR15.

    There are two thread patterns for the AR10. There is Armalite pattern and DPMS pattern. Also with the DPMS pattern there is a high and low receiver height and you need the proper handguard or the top rail doesn't align.

    Pretty sure the Hunter is DPMS high.

    Your Midwest Industries handguard could have an Armalite pattern barrel nut because MI handguards can be bought with either.

    Armalite 1-7/16" 18 TPI

    DPMS 1-7/16" 16TPI

    Modern Hunter is DPMS thread

    There also is DPMS High & DPMS Low handguards. Modern Hunter is DPMS high.
