Indeed the L85 does use it, and it's very easy to use. I used it for 5 years.
It can protrude out far more than the Type 97s does it just nedd a metal ring around it to prevent accidental depression.
The fact that I thought it so bad as to not have been designed to function that way aftdr having used said system for 5 years should tell others how badly thr design has been implemented.
