I'm wondering what are the differences between Gen 2 and Gen 3, besides the M-Lok (?) handguard and the absence of folding sights.

Why did they drop the iron sights from the package? Any notable differences between gen 2 and 3?

Usually NS has service parts for warranty work, but I haven't had much luck sourcing parts for my own purchase short of having 2 rifles.
Just some random gun toting weeb in Alberta.

    They're not undesirable guns.

I used to own a tavor (TAR-21, not X95). A friend's T97 gen 1 was more accurate than mine, and both fed and ran reliably. Really with a FTU and LHG on the T-97, the only advantage I saw that the Tavor had was a bolt release and ambi ejection port option.

I can't speak to the gen 2 or 3 T-97, but I imagine they'd be similar in accuracy and reliability.
