My L9A1 is literally the most ergonomic pistol over handled. No reliability issues with 5K down the pipe. Highly recommend if your on the fence.

It's always looked like it was designed around ergonomics, have the fixed what ever issues they were known for in the past?

I bought one of the first L9A1s in Canada back in 2013, and it had some minor problems. I recently bought another made in 2015 and it's never given me any issues. The bugs were worked out long ago. They're very comfortable to shoot and absolute tack drivers.
