Marlin at Ruger. That will be a winning combo.

I have seen fairly recent (last 6 months) YouTube videos on Marlin lever actions rifles still not functioning consistently/properly, during my research on .44 Mag lever action rifles before I bought one. I was leaning towards a Marlin lever action as a .17HMR bolt action Marlin I had many years ago was a fantastic rifle, but the unfavorable reviews dissuaded me. Perhaps, like you mentioned, they have sorted it out with recent production lots.

I'm not sure what exactly PSA got. I see the silencers, and the barrel company, and they seem a good fit. The rest seem to just be brand names with no assets.

Ruger with Marlin may be a good thing.

I thought Herstal owned FN, Browning and U.S. Repeating Arms(AKA Winchester firearms) , while Olin owns the Winchester Ammunition brand and licenses the Winchester name?
