This isn't a video game, or a movie...it's real life. Most of us grow out of the gun-fetish glorification of violence bull by the time we get to high school...apparently a lot of agro-man-children on here that need to get a life.
Dig up whatever dirt you want on the people he shot, this kid isn't judge-jury-executioner for past deeds. He was being chased because he SHOT someone...Again, if he hadn't been there with a gun, and lack of discipline, he wouldn't be sitting in a cell right now.

Why are you on a website called "gunnutz" lol. Good god Karen...give us a break!

You haven't helped your case at all... people are fed up of the riots and I would love to see your reaction if this was your neighborhood...

Real life... give me a ####ing break... if the ####ing pedophile, rapist and wife beater had been doing something productive with their lives ... guess what... they wouldn't be dead or missing an arm after attacking a ####ing 17 year old after a different rapist was shot while resisting police...

    Get better...

    Pedophiles should be dead imo.

In Canada, the overlap on the Venn diagram between firearm owner and defense of life supporter seems to have about 25-30% overlap tops.

Nice straw man. No one here thinks life is a video game, or a movie. Infantilizing everyone you disagree with is an act of dehumanization particularly preferred by socialists who actually lack the intelligence to influence people with logical, rational, and evidence based arguments.

He shot someone because he was being attacked. He tried to disengage, but had no other option. After the 1st shooting, he tried again to disengage, only to be chased and attacked again. Zero innocent bystanders were shot. Zero Negligent discharges. Zero errant ricochets. He had more than half a mag left when he surrendered his firearm to police, which he did at the earliest possible opportunity. You clearly do not know the meaning of the word discipline, least of all under fire.

And you are right, if he hadn't of been there, he wouldn't have been in a jail cell. And if the professional criminals, looters and rioters who weren't trying shoot and stab him death weren't there, they wouldn't be taking the room temperature challenge right now either. The only person who gets to decide whether or not Kyle Rittenhouses decision to go to the protest was a good idea or not, is Kyle Rittenhouse. And that is because going there was not a crime, and everyone has a right to be at the protest.

Whats with so many antifa sympathizers saying Kyle went looking for trouble, first get your facts straight and do research on the story before opening your mouth. Second; by your logic cops go looking for trouble every day in bad neighbourhoods.

So good on him. But he didn't need to have a rifle Slung around him drawing serious attention to himself to do that. Honestly that's probably one reason that made him stand out. And I firmly believe one reason he was targeted was some of his attackers wanted the rifle for themselves.

Do I feel empathy for the people he shot? No. The hell with them, it was self defence at that point, they were scum. There's a difference between protesters and rioters looking for trouble, they were looking for trouble. So no tears for them.

If you read this kids background, he is a police wanna be and for some reason wanted to be a part of the action and chaos. I believe he had only good intentions and do some good, but was way the F over his head. As soon as he went out with that rifle, he wasn't getting home without it being used.

I feel sorry for this kid. A lengthy court battle a head and he'll never be the same after. Nothing good comes from getting involved in a RIOT/CIVIL WAR for an evening that wasn't in his neighborhood or outside his own business. That is a different situation entirely. I give him praise and shake my head at the same time.
I've highlighted a few of your phrases for discourse. Interesting perspective, but let's ride it out to logical conclusion.

What would have happened, or was likely to have happened if he had not armed himself? Would've been more vulnerable, not less. Allegedly the mob was angered by him helping minimize their damage. He might have ended up disabled, or dead. It's all speculation; but given the evidence, I'd say it was the correct choice.

You mention "one reason" both acknowledging that there were other reasons and simultaneously alluding that it wasn't a factor to begin with. If that was the sole reason, they would take guns from each other and the police. Or should we expect the police to go unarmed as well? Sounds a little silly, doesn't it? Was actually a case where one of the looters took an AR from a cop car. Luckily there was an armed citizen who quickly took it away from him.

Maybe he is a police "wannabe". If so, what's wrong with that? Lots of wannabes. Some couldn't do what they always wanted, and some took a different path and have some regrets. Nothing wrong with wannabes. Maybe if there were more that admired just laws, order, peace and protecting the weak, we wouldn't see such lawless destruction and assault on decent people.

We can kind of quarterback things now and say: "it was going to get used". Well... yeah! Good thing, too! We can also go over the alternate endings, but it's pretty clear that being armed was probably for the best. Play it back 100 times, and one misstep would have put him in a bed for the rest of his life. I saw a tough to watch video a couple of weeks ago. A guy was out with his SO, at one of these big rallies and the members of the crowd took the opportunity to rob and beat a homeless lady. He tried a bit to help, but soon it was time for him to get out of there when his wife was being assaulted and they were surrounded. He got them in the truck, and tried to drive away while the mob tried to stop them. He got away as gently and hastily as he could under the circumstance. He crashed a couple blocks away, as the mob tailed him. When they caught up, he was blamed for almost running them over, and he was assaulted. Not sure if the cops were called, but I'm sure he would have been awful glad to see them. The video kind of ended shortly after the most aggressive one ran up behind him while he was seated on the pavement trying to placate the crowd, and punted him in the temple, knocking him out and leaving him unresponsive, with a pool of blood forming under his head. While his wife was crying and trying to see if he was "alright", a couple looters raided the back of their truck.

Well the guy he shot and lived, brought his gun . Nobody complaining about that. So he was prepared to use deadly force to protect himself .

Grosskreutz told CNN that he traveled to the protest because video of the Blake shooting disturbed him. He said he worked as a paramedic before going back to college in Wisconsin and he packed medical supplies in a small backpack in case he needed to treat people at the protests. He also brought his pistol with him, saying he has a permit to carry a concealed weapon. He said he was worried after seeing a call to arms from a group called the Kenosha Guard on Facebook.

I think you mean child molesters. Unless you're saying that they should be dead because of a thought; that's a slippery slope.
