The rifles are scheduled to arrive right after the pandemic is over.

IRG can delete my post if they can't stand the sight of the competition. My focus was on the Buttstock, which a previous poster enquired about. The rifle that it happens to be attached to was not the point of my post.

That said, the R18 does look reasonably nice and has just surpassed 1000 rounds fired by myself without a single failure or any maintenance (aside from cleaning the Barrel at 700 rds for accuracy testing). It is good to go now @ 7.9 lbs with a pencil Barrel that will group 2.5 MOA with 5 rounds of PMC X-Tac 55 gr ball ammo. A medium-contour Barrel and reduced-circumference Adjustable Gas Block are both forthcoming early in the New Year. The Medium-weight Barrel ought to offer improved accuracy at the cost of an additional lb of weight (8.9 lbs) for those who prefer that combination. Retail sales will be announced ASAP, early in 2022.

But it sure was good to rub their nose in it

To be fair they did eventually come through on the matrix aerospace 308, but it was immediately banned.
