More compact receiver is a big plus. I have a WS MCR and am always looking at other options. I'd guess there would be less sharp edges as well.
Nah just being facetious, though the build quality does leave something to be desired on the mcr.

I got 20 pcs of range brass that's just waiting to be stuffed with powder..
I'm thinking the biggest improvement (in my eyes) is that it has the ejection port cover like the original AR-18/180. I like my WS-MCR so far but with the left side charging and no ejection port cover, I imagine it would get full of crap pretty quickly in inclement weather.
Inclement weather? Cmon you guy don't go outside unless its nice and comfortable
