I know these are super cheap but are they reliable at all?
Used to be called a Cooey 64 now with a better safety location.
I had one that had some light misfeeding from the magazine right out the box on the last few rounds. All I had to do was file the feed ramp a little bit of the magazine with a round file. After that it was super reliable.Originally Posted by CheesyBalls

The old Lakefield 64b version was about as good as any semi auto 22. Reliability depended on avoiding some ammo, and also cleaning the action from time to time. About the same as my 10/22.

I bought one, mags are crap. The feed lips wear out really fast.
Wow.....I had the lakefield version of this almost thirty years ago. I think I paid $149 back then!
From what I can tell its on par with most semi auto 22s that are $100 more.
That's a common issue, needing to file the inside front edge of the mag.
They can be picky about ammo as well, come bullets just don't feed well.
Once you figure out what works/doesn't they're pretty good, can't go wrong for the price.
Grew up with a lake field have a savage now too, they just don’t like hollow points, no big deal. That being said if it were 300$ I wouldn't be too happy
