    D8208 in the 223

Got out with the Tikka T3x chambered for 223, had some loads with D8208 and 68gr Hornady HPBT's. Started at 21 and worked up to 23grs. may go up to 23.5 next tests. Best load was 21gr at .75", all other loads were between .8 and .85". Unfortunately i lost the crono data, i'm not a tech oriented type. Weather wasn't bad but my arthritic fingers don't do well in cold so further testing with different bullets and some D4895 will have to wait till warmer temps. Looking forward to trying the D4895.

Thanks for the info! Would love that Chorny data.

2021 - 18 year old boys need a safe space because words hurt their feelings.
2022 - 18 year old boys aren't sure what bathroom to use.

Too bad about the Chrony data getting lost. Do you recall a ballpark of what it was?

I have lots of data with D8208BR with hornady 75 gr match
From a 22inch bolt gun if people want the data next time I'm in the shop I'll look at my log book
23.2 was my best load with it I believe it's in that 2875 area
And shoot 3/8 at 100 yard 5 shots
Also done 10 shot at 300 amd was around 6 inch but only 3.5 high and 6 wide
    Also was windy that day

I run Hornady 75gr BTHPs over 22.7gr of D8208 and it gives me sub 1/2 moa 5 round groups and about 2920fps out of a 26" 1-7.7tw barrel.

Respectable velocity. I load bulk so as long as I can get certain speeds with decent accuracy I am happy.
