Can someone from Wolverine talk to the problems we are starting to see with the firing pin retainer (roll pin) breaking after a few hundred rounds. Has it been upgraded, what serial numbers are effected? What should we do if ours break.........do you stock an updated replacement?

Bruce

Thanks John

I know if it breaks you will take care of it as you always do!!

Has the newer models been upgraded from the roll pin and do you stock the new upgraded replacements?

Bruce

This is what you need.

I have 2 WS-MCR rifles and as much as I like the rifles themselves, the rollpin is a poor choice. Mine broke. Regular AR15 cotter pins don't work very well either. These work great.

yes, solid pin. Hopefully someone in Canada gets them in. I was lucky in that I had 2 from other rifles that I scavenged. The cotter pins I tried let the firing pin go upon cocking the rifle and as I mentioned, the supplied roll pins failed miserably. So far it's the only valid thing I can complain about on the WS-MCR

The newest WS-MCR has an option for a galil style folding stock developed with Specter, it feels very study. Upon disassembly I also noticed the firing pin retaining pin was changed from a hollow roll pin style to the AR-15 "cotter pin" style.

Odds are any MCR built since the first Galil stock full version was released has cotter pin instead of the roll pin style.

Wolverine, since the cotter pin seems to be a known failure point, does the part actually have to fail before a replacement is sent under warranty, or can an MCR owner provide photographic evidence they have a roll pin installed on their MCR, and request a replacement cotter pin?

Does anyone in Canada have that solid AR pin pictured above? Do we need to group buy a bunch to have a local supply?

I just got another g-mod version and it needs to be changed.

I tried to find a Canadian supplier but all were out of stock. I have two en route from Brownells. The package is currently sitting in a warehouse in Michigan, awaiting processing...

We are working through each claim as they are received by Wolverine, we are trialing and testing for a good solution to this issue which may arise. A photograph will suffice and a replacement pin will be sent to you, please contact warranty@wolverinesupplies.com for assistance.
