Combo: Sporter FA w/ Lantac E-BCG and SI billet dust cover

I’m working on a combo that according to Strike Industries won’t work and I’m curious if the slight difference at the ejection port between the Sporter and an AR15 might allow this combination to function.

I am set on the FA Sporter upper and Lantac E-BCG and I’d prefer to use the billet enhanced dust cover if possible.

Is anyone running that exact setup?

If it won’t work I’ll get the polymer version.

    Thanks

I have a Lantac BCG and a polymer Strike Industries Dust Cover. I had to file the dust cover near the catch to get it to close properly. So if the billet is similar in design it is likely it won't work at all or require modification.

Thank you, that’s exactly what I needed to know.

I’m guessing it was a self explanatory mod? Dust cover wouldn’t shut so you removed material until it did basically?

I’ll check mine. I have those doors installed and I’m pretty sure I’m running that bcg as well

Sporter FA upper, with the strike cover and a lantac bcg all work fine together.
The strike door does need minor filing to fit because of the larger area around the detent ball.

My preference is the v7 billet doors. look and function better in my opinion

Thanks, will it fit with a Lantac E-BCG and is it adjustable to keep the dust cover fully closed?
