Cleaning the gun for the first time this evening, read about some having troubles with their pistol grip screw being seized, i thought id check mine while i was at it and mine too does appear to be somewhat siezed. It can actually thread in, but not back out. Its almost like if the factory peened or swelled out the end of the thread so it couldnt be removed for some reason :/ my LMG did come with a nice tight and perfectly aligned grip tho.
Just saying it how it is.....
Thanks again TI, for bringing these in!
What’s the difference between phosphate and blue versions please ?
Better water resisting / rusting ?
Ordered mine on the 11th, last update was processing (order 96xx). No big rush for me, it gets here when it gets here. IMO, blued is the way to go.
Blued is MilSpec. Phosphate is supposedly more durable and water resistant but from what people on the forum are saying the finish scratches a little easier for the phosphate and some people have reported flaking phosphate too but not many of those. In the end China will blue better than they phosphate which is why I went blued. I figured if I ever intended on making this a Bush gun that I lug around the forrest I may cerakoat it for water resistance but at 10 LBS this isn't really a Bush gun, its little cousin the Type 81 folder or fixed would be much better at that.
Thanks for the explanation bud ^
The gun was good and straight. Only complaints are that when I pulled it out of the box there was a huge glob of wood finish on the handguard. I just wiped it off with a cloth it came off but now there's no finish on the wood in that spot. Other thing would be the fitment of the handguard, there's a pretty substantial gap between the wood and the retainer but the handguard itself is still tight.
