VZ58s and CZ 858s were going for the same price before the ban, there is a very, very, very big difference in quality and one is built in a country with employees that actually cost a fair bit to employ and utilizes CNC. If this was 1k like the first wave of type 81 rifles, I wouldn't be as bitter about it.
Yep, the grass was greener in the past before the ban.. Not anymore, this is the new reality. I'm pretty sure you can sell yours for the same money you paid in no time. Then you can use it and buy a good Swiss quality rifle that is perfectly crafted for just about 5k after tax

Using endmills chewed to hell and dull as a dollar store butter knife. I have seen some sloppy SKS' out there, but nothing like this. It's cool, but is no where near worth what they are asking for these things. Most of the parts were made in the 20th century left to rot in a warehouse or they chose to use the cheapest materials they could find with minimal effort to clean them up.

    An expensive lesson learned.
wow sounds like you got a POS for sure, why not post a pic so we can see how bad it is

TI charges you $29 for a sling, if you buy a sling in China, the cost of a single sling is around 90 cents to $1.29.
Oh sweet where do we get $300 T81's and $1 non-airsoft slings?

Retail is 1499, this is going price for RPK where legal in other parts of the world.

858 in the safe at home, great gun but with chipboard stock and grey painted receiver it's not exactly the bastion of quality to compare to, LMG looks much nicer imo

It wasn’t long ago where the cz858 could be had for well under a grand
Just before the ban they were priced close to the t-81 lmg
I didn’t care much for the grey painted metal myself but I did like the beaver barf wood for some reason

It wasn't until the CSA guns started coming out that they went that high. I had bought half a dozen at different times for under $700 "new". I wouldn't say the LMG is worth $1500 but I won't cry about the price either. If someone doesn't like it or can't afford it then they should simply not buy one.

Let's also not forget that the success of projects means that more doors and opportunities can open to us. We have to prove to factories we are a serious market if we want any sort dedicated projects (which we are asking for). There is a ton of really cool stuff we could get in theory, the likes our market has never seen.

If there's one thing to learn from our near 10 years in business, it's that we are always pushing hard to bring in cool and interesting stuff to our market

Keep bringing it in and we will keep buying them. You know everyone is waiting for more fixed stock and folders. Sounds like you guys are working on that and more.
