Yup and I won't ever miss out on any of that cool stuff again. I should have bought a Lynx when I had the chance. I'm stuck kicking myself for not going through with it. Buy what you want while you can folks!

Well said, I have t81 LMG and APC223 love them both.

Just before the ban they were priced close to the t-81 lmg
I didn’t care much for the grey painted metal myself but I did like the beaver barf wood for some reason
I don't know what market your talking about. The CSA 858 has always been a steady 1499. I looked for mine for months right after the last administration lifted the ban on them and nowhere had them cheaper. I always had my eye on them even after I bought my 7.62 version because I was mulling over grabbing a 5 56 version too. Im kicking myself for not having done so. Even worse is I sold my 7.62 version before the ban. Got the same as I paid for it - tax. Buddy bought it off me used for 1500 and he was happy to do so.

Back in, I think, 2012, I got 4 CZ 858s, with 4 mags and mag pouch each for $799 retail.

Ahhh i see where I messed up. I was talking about the CSA 858 not the VZ58...... yea there was a huge difference there. I dont think I would want a VZ58. They were crude.

He said CSA, which were significantly more expensive than the surplus refurbs we got initially. They were out for a long while well under $1499 though. I don't actually recall ever seeing a reputable dealer selling them for that much.

VZ 58 vs Type 81SA manufacturing is going to be very different. The CSA VZ 58 are completely milled from cast, have more complicated parts, way higher tolerances and machining standards, and a Wolther Barrel.

The Type 81SA just has a few milled parts, some apparently from cast, and a whole bunch of riveted together, stamped and hardened steel.

If a stamped steel gun cost the same or more then a milled gun to manufacture..... the Commies wouldve stuck with a milled gun.
Just saying it how it is.....
